The FLIR identiFINDER R500 is an extremely sensitive and accurate digital handheld gamma radionuclide identification device (RID). Available in two configurations (NaI and LaBr), the R500 quickly detects, locates, accurately measures, and identifies radiation sources. The additional detector volume allows it to identify radioactive material where other instruments cannot. When large areas need to be screened rapidly or there is potential for shielding, the identiFINDER R500 provides superior sensitivity and performance.
Determine Nuclide Identity in Seconds
ENHANCED SENSITIVITY
Reduced time to locate radioactive source; identification algorithm (ANSI N42.34 library) reduces false alarm and nuisance events
EASILY OPERATED
Common operating interface provides immediate comfort when using the device; spectroscopy knowledge not required for meaningful operation
LIMITED MAINTENANCE REQUIRED
Automatic calibration and continuous LED stabilization for temperature control and other conditional changes; 5-year factory maintenance interval
